Little Scholars Workshop

For this activity you can either decide to create the skeletal or circulatory system.

Materials Needed:

• LSW Free Body Outline Printable
• Paint Brush
• 2 Mixing Cups
• Turmeric
• Hand Sanitizer
• Baking Soda
• Warm Water

Directions:

Mix two tablespoons of baking soda with 3 tablespoons of warm water until dissolved completely. Next take your LSW Free Body Outline Printable and paint either the circulatory system (draw stick figure and add lines coming off of it) or skeletal system (draw stick figure with breaks in the elbow and knees as well as ribs) and let dry. After the painting is dry you should notice a slight powdery and raised drawing where you placed your water mixture.

Now mix one tablespoon of turmeric and several squirts of hand sanitizer until you have a thin liquidity mixture.

Have your child paint with the turmeric mixture over the body to reveal the hidden body systems you painted earlier.
